The Gift of Peace – A Meditation for the Season
One of my favorite childhood memories is of my father’s Christmas ritual. My mother would put up a beautiful Christmas tree, and every morning, my father would sit in the dark, in front of that tree, and (unbeknownest to him) meditate. It was a joy to behold. A beautiful memory. I still wonder about his Christmas prayers?
My gift to you this year is a sweet ten minute meditation – something to listen to as you sit in front of your Christmas tree – or your Menorah candles – or out in nature – or just somewhere within the light of your own heart.
This a meditation on peace. Whether you are Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, agnostic or aetheist, this is the season of peace. For all of us, this time celebrates the birth and the possibility for the good in all of us.
Give yourself the gift of peace. Take ten minutes every day during this season. Light a candle or a Christmas tree and let yourself reflect on the deeper meanings of the season. I promise it will change not only your life but of those around you as well. You will then be the gift of peace.

Kathy,
I woke in the wee hours before dawn and listened to your meditation. What a joyous way to begin the day. Thank you and Happy Holidays!
Kathie
Thank you Kathy for your gift of peace…you are a special gift to all!
Thanks for the appreciation. I woke up yesterday morning compelled to record a peace meditation. I offer this as my gift to everyone. Imagine if we all listened to this daily for the next twelves days and the twelve days after….don’t you think we’d then become more peaceful….that’s my prayer.
