A Sunday Morning Gift
.
Below is a beautiful piece that I recorded for you about designing your life, but it is written by an anonymous someone.
Consider it a gift. A perfect gift to give yourself on a Sunday morning. Sunday morning (or afternoon or any other day) is a good time to take five minutes just for you. Create a comfortable physical place and emotional space and then relax and listen.
Give yourself just a few minutes to stop and to reflect. It will take you on a journey inward. Let it inspire you to think about what you would do if you were brave.
And as always, remember to take out your journal and write about what resonates for you, for what inspires you. If you get the time, look back at the blog on Why Do We Write….and as always, you are welcome to write to us.

Take another minute to take a look at the upcoming Women’s Weekend Retreat in February. You also may want to click through to more information about the retreat to learn more about what goes on. I am so excited and encourage you to email me if you have any questions or would like to talk about the retreat. And for those of you who have already signed up, bring a friend.

Beautiful , Sunday gift. just hearing your voice of soft real words of true wisdom takes me to that place where my heart sings and my face smiles.
Thank you Dr. Kathy,
Beautiful Blessings,
Brenda
I did just what you suggested. Sunday evening I took back a room in my house and designated it “The Santuary.” I added a CD player for my meditation music. It already had a single bed-this way I can pretend I am in a Resort Spa. I added a candle, carafe of water, spiritual and meditation books such as A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson. Also, a small crystal nightlite gives me just enough light to concentrate on while meditating. That way I don’t burn down the house if I am sitting ion the floor, fall asleep, and kick over the candle. I spent about 30 minutes setting up the room and another 15 just sitting. Soon, my son, my roommate and both of the dogs were in the space and we were all sitting around talking about how cool it was to have this room. The dogs-one we say behaves like Budda- were tranquil and settled off to sleep. I must say, it began my week and centered me as much as anything has in a very long time. It was magical.
Just taking a few minutes to stop and reflect in life can make a huge difference. Annalisa, I have a room too…it doubles as my office but it is set up to be warm and relaxing (this helps clients too)….in this room, I light candles and play music and dream my life.
Brenda, if you liked the meditation above, there is another one on the website that is a 10 minute meditation …maybe you’ll like it too. with love, Kathy
